In the role of Control Systems Design Coordinator, we'll count on you to:
Planning and Design Roles:
  • Participate in the design of complex supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems
  • Assist with selection and specification of process instrumentation, control panels, and network equipment
  • Assist with development of biddable and technically accurate instrumentation and control system construction documents
  • Assist with the development of software applications for automation such as programmable logic controller (PLC) and human machine interface (HMI)
  • Assist with system testing and commissioning activities
  • Perform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures
  • Complete projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variables.
  • Work independently on small projects, or assist more-senior engineers on larger projects
  • Give direction to clerical and technical personnel
  • Perform other duties as needed

Building Automation Roles:

  • Working under the supervision of a Control Systems Engineer to produce deliverable packages for several concurrent projects including writing/editing instrumentation and controls specifications, selecting instrumentation, developing sequence of operations, and creating control system drawings.
  • Coordinating the work of the control system engineers with the balance of multi-disciplined team throughout a project's design development and construction including: power coordination, panel locations, remote equipment monitoring, integration to 3rd party systems, networking, and device locations.
  • Conducting schematic; design development, and contract document working sessions with clients.
  • Reviewing Shop drawing submittal, responding to RFI and conducting Field Observations on construction sites and developing reports
  • Participate in design and production meetings with regard to instrumentation and control systems.
Preferred Qualifications
Planning and Design {Use for Design and Planning Roles}:
  • Experience designing I and C Systems, including schematics and loops.
  • Previous work experience with an A&E/Consulting Engineering firm.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Plant 3D or Revit
Building Automation Engineer {Use for BAS/BMS roles}:
  • Experience designing building automation or building management systems, including schematics and loops.
  • Previous work experience with an A&E/Consulting Engineering firm.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
