Job Summary SummaryDirects daily operations of pharmacy services. This position directs and supports pharmacy staff. Participates in determining the department's short- and long-term goals and related policies and procedures. Provides leadership and guidance to the pharmacy staff. Essential Functions Provides leadership, guidance, and serves as a role model to those professionals under his/her supervision. Supervises and directs the daily operations of pharmacy services. Schedules and assigns staff. Serves as a resource person regarding pharmacy policies to pharmacists, physicians, nurses, and other hospital staff. Participates in on-call responsibilities as assigned. Responsible for staff development and performance evaluation. Assists in the recruitment, interviews, and training of new staff. Participates in the development of policies and procedures. Conducts educational programs, in-services, and staff meetings.
