Job Description

WHAT DOES A S&I ENGINEER DO ? WHY YOU ?



S&I Engineer sells systems & integration customer equipment projects and supports the BU sales team on stand alone equipment sales.


He/she defines, develops, promotes, sells and delivers Packaging Solutions for Customers in a matrix environment in cooperation with the Sales, Service/Application and Euro Equipment Functions teams.




RESPONSIBILITIES:




  • Develop and design equipment layout/solutions based on clearly defined customer expectations, needs, project specifications and project scope.
  • Drive (in close collaboration with the Division sales team) the preparation of quotations/offers (including value argumentation/financial analysis), negotiations, and closing of systems integration customer projects.
  • Select external partners, build the project team, coordinate the order and deliver the equipment solutions in line with project specifications, timing and budget and when appropriate, with the Systems Integration team.
  • Coordinate installation and training of customer equipment projects with the Service and Application Team.
  • Be the project leader for customer equipment projects and act as a 'general contractor' for holistic systems integration solutions for Sealed Air's customers (including systems and solutions from multiple suppliers) till the packaging line recognition.
  • 'Shepherd' new systems integration equipment solutions into the field.
  • Provide customer feedback to equipment development and equipment marketing to adapt and optimize our equipment fleet to the market needs.





QUALIFICATIONS:




  • University Bachelor /Master's degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or equivalent by experience
  • Desired 5-7 years work experience in engineering companies, preferably in the packaging sector
  • Fluent in English
  • Willingness to travel extensively, mostly in Europe.
  • Ability to work effectively on project with cross- functional team
  • Flexibility, initiative and creativity Strong engineering/technical background, organizational, & problem solving skills.
  • Project leader & project management skills with the ability to lead several projects in parallel and effectively drive multiple disciplines at the same time.
  • Team player/leader in a matrix environment.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills and ability to influence & motivate at all levels (internal, external, partners, & customers).
  • Strong customer / client relation and interface skills.
  • Computer skills including AutoCAD, MS Office, MS Projects, MS Access or other PC based databases.
