Position Title: Maintenance Tech
Salary: $62,400.00-$76,960.00/year Shift: 1st Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm Monday-Friday Our client in Milwaukee, WI is seeking an experienced, hands-on Maintenance Technician to support their manufacturing operation on 1st shift. This direct hire position is ideal for a strong industrial maintenance professional with advanced electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical troubleshooting skills. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and rebuilding production equipment to maximize uptime and keep the plant running efficiently. Experience working with die-casting equipment is a major plus. Apply today! Maintenance Tech Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on production equipment - Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime - Troubleshoot electrical systems, controls, motors, switches, sensors, and other electrical components - Diagnose and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components - Rebuild and overhaul machinery and components, including dismantling, inspection, machining, repair, and part replacement - Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and equipment documentation - Use precision measuring tools to inspect and repair machine components - Perform basic machining, fabrication, and welding as needed - Respond to equipment breakdowns and determine root causes of failures - Maintain production equipment and plant systems in safe, reliable operating condition - Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, efficiency, and overall plant performance - Follow all company safety, environmental, and maintenance procedures Maintenance Tech Requirements: - 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment - Strong electrical troubleshooting and repair skills - Strong hydraulic troubleshooting and repair experience - Strong mechanical aptitude with proven hands-on troubleshooting abilities - Experience repairing, rebuilding, and maintaining manufacturing equipment - Working knowledge of pneumatic systems - Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and technical documentation - Experience using precision measuring tools - Knowledge of shop math, tooling, and machining principles - Ability to troubleshoot equipment independently and prioritize repairs based on production needs - Experience with die-casting machines such as Techmire, Frech, or similar equipment strongly preferred - Basic welding and fabrication skills preferred - Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team - Ability to frequently stand, walk, climb, kneel, and perform hands-on work with tools - Ability to lift up to 60 pounds Benefits: Full benefits package IND999 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
