From your PASSION to ours

Lactalis Heritage Dairy, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Senior Manager, Digital Shelf & Content Operations based in Chicago, IL.

The Senior Manager, Digital Shelf & Content Operations plays a critical role in ensuring accurate, complete, and retailer-ready product content across the digital shelf. Within the Omnichannel Enablement pillar, this role serves as the technical expert for Product Information Management (PIM) and Global Data Synchronization Network (GDSN), with accountability for ensuring product content is accurate, complete, syndicated on time, and compliant with each retailer's specific ingestion requirements.

The Senior Manager leads the Senior Analyst, Digital Shelf, building the team's syndication capabilities and serving as the escalation point for product content, data, and feed-related issues. This includes overseeing the intake and resolution of content updates and ensuring effective, consistent operating processes.

Working closely with the Director of Omnichannel Enablement, this role partners cross-functionally with Regulatory, Sales, and the broader Omnichannel team to ensure product content is search-ready, retailer-compliant, and positioned to support a strong digital shopping experience.

This role brings together digital commerce, data, technology, and cross-functional leadership to strengthen how Lactalis Heritage Dairy (LHD) products are represented and experienced across the digital retail landscape.

From your EXPERTISE to ours

Key responsibilities for this position include:

Digital Shelf & Content Operations Leadership

  • Own end-to-end digital shelf operations across priority retailers: content quality, syndication accuracy, and confirmation that published content is live and correct at the retailer.
  • Ensure product content is live, accurate, and GTIN-aligned to support always-on sponsored search and organic findability across priority retailers.
  • Prioritize and resolve content, and syndication issues, including oversight of the content update process.
  • Operate the content accuracy program (DataWeave): define content accuracy and time-to-live metrics, report them monthly, and confirm items are live and correct at the retailer after each publication.

PIM & GDSN Data Management

  • Own governance of LHD's PIM system (Salsify), including product attributes, digital assets, taxonomy, and channel mappings, keeping it aligned with product master data and GTIN governance.
  • Own GDSN synchronization end to end, including GS1 standards management: track release schedules, assess attribute changes before deployment, and maintain LHD readiness for each GDSN release.
  • Own the intake of commercialization spec data into the PIM: harden the load process and operate the shared spec gate with Commercialization.
  • Partner with Brand, Regulatory, Supply Chain, IT, and Data Governance to ensure data accuracy, compliance, and seamless integration across systems.

Syndication & Vendor Operations

  • Own vendor relationships for syndication and digital shelf platforms (e.g., Salsify, Syndigo, Dataweave), directing contracted vendor support and setting resolution priorities. For platforms shared across Lactalis divisions (e.g., DataWeave), manage LHD's use of and requirements into the shared platform.
  • Develop and maintain retailer-specific content standards; verify creative assets against each retailer's content requirements and timelines, and syndicate approved content.
  • Track changes to retailer ingestion specs, image requirements, and content acceptance rules, and update content standards and syndication processes accordingly.
  • Provide the Director, Omnichannel Enablement with regular assessments of vendor performance, tool gaps, and capability investment opportunities.

Team Development & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Manage and develop the Senior Analyst, Digital Shelf, with hands-on coaching in PIM, GDSN, and syndication troubleshooting aimed at building their independence.
  • Partner with Activation to support content deployment, search optimization, and accurate campaign inputs (GTINs, landing pages, imagery) as needed.
  • Work with Planning, Sales, Brand, and Category Leadership to share digital shelf insights, best practices, and improvement opportunities.

Performance Tracking & Reporting

  • Deliver timely and accurate reporting on digital shelf KPIs, content health, and syndication readiness across priority retailers, and contribute digital shelf inputs to Share of Search and competitive reporting.
  • Maintain dashboards and scorecards that track digital shelf performance and connect content improvements to business impact.

  • Deep hands-on expertise in PIM administration and GDSN data synchronization (e.g., Salsify, Syndigo, 1WorldSync).
  • Working knowledge of GS1 standards and GDSN release management, including assessing release impacts before deployment.
  • Proven ability to manage vendor operations, service levels, and escalation processes.
  • Strong problem-solving and project management skills with close attention to data accuracy.
  • Experience building processes and documentation from a low-maturity starting point.
  • Clear communicator who can explain technical data issues in business terms for non-technical audiences.
