Build the Machines Behind the Products You Use Every Day

Are you an electrician or skilled trades professional who enjoys building, wiring, and troubleshooting complex machinery?

Paper Machinery Corporation (PMC) is looking for a Machine Electrician to join our team in Milwaukee. In this hands-on role, you'll help build sophisticated equipment used by manufacturers around the world to produce paperboard cups and containers.

You'll work from electrical schematics and machine drawings to install and wire electrical components, panels, motors, sensors, switches, and controls. You'll see your work come together as part of a complete machine-not just a single electrical installation.

If you take pride in precision, enjoy working with your hands, and want to develop your skills while building equipment with a global impact, we'd like to meet you.

About Paper Machinery Corporation

Founded in 1951, Paper Machinery Corporation is a global leader in the design and manufacture of paperboard cup and container forming equipment. Our machines help customers around the world produce packaging used by some of the world's most recognized foodservice and consumer brands.

As an employee-owned company, PMC is built around quality, innovation, teamwork, and continuous improvement. We're committed to providing a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing environment where skilled employees can build long-term careers and take pride in what they produce.

What You'll Do

As a Machine Electrician, you'll be responsible for the electrical assembly and wiring of PMC's custom-built forming machinery.

  • Install and wire electrical components including control panels, motors, switches, sensors, and other machine components.

  • Build and route machine wiring according to electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, layouts, and engineering specifications.

  • Read and interpret electrical drawings to accurately complete machine wiring and assembly.

  • Use hand tools, power tools, and electrical test equipment to complete installations.

  • Perform basic electrical testing, troubleshooting, and verification of completed assemblies.

  • Identify wiring or assembly issues and work with engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve them.

  • Ensure completed work meets PMC's quality, safety, and engineering standards.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

  • Work collaboratively with electricians, mechanical assemblers, engineers, and other manufacturing team members to keep projects moving and meet production schedules.

  • Contribute ideas and recommendations that improve quality, efficiency, safety, and the overall manufacturing process.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship and getting the details right.

Required
  • Experience in electrical assembly, machine wiring, industrial electrical work, or a related skilled-trades environment.

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.

  • Comfortable using common hand tools and electrical test equipment such as a multimeter.

  • Understanding of basic electrical safety practices.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team.

We'd Especially Like to Meet You If You Have:
  • Experience as an electrician, industrial electrician, machine builder, controls technician, electrical assembler, or machine wirer.

  • Experience wiring industrial machinery or automated equipment.

  • Experience with motors, sensors, switches, control panels, or other industrial electrical components.

  • Experience troubleshooting electrical issues.

  • Technical or electrical training from a trade school, technical college, apprenticeship, or military background.

Don't have experience with paper machinery? That's okay. If you have strong electrical fundamentals and experience working with industrial equipment, we'll help you learn our machines and processes.

Why Join PMC? Build Something You Can Be Proud Of

At PMC, you're not just wiring components. You're helping build complete, sophisticated machines that are shipped around the world.

You'll have the opportunity to:

  • Work with complex industrial machinery and electrical systems.

  • Work alongside experienced engineers and skilled manufacturing professionals.

  • Build products from the ground up and see the finished result.

  • Develop a long-term career with an established, innovative manufacturer.
