Materials Group Manager

• Lead and manage a team of materials testing and inspection professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality work.
• Oversee and review testing procedures and results, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
• Develop and implement efficient testing protocols and strategies to enhance productivity and accuracy.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, offering expert advice and ensuring client satisfaction.
• Manage project timelines and budgets, ensuring projects are completed within scope and on time.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulations, and implement best practices.
• Conduct regular team meetings and provide performance feedback to foster a positive and productive work environment.
• Ensure health and safety standards are met on all projects, and promote a culture of safety within the team.
• Collaborate with other departments and external partners to integrate materials testing services effectively.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in materials testing and inspection, with a proven track record of leadership.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, testing methods, and industry standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and lead a team.
• Proficiency in project management and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Familiarity with relevant software and technology used in materials testing and reporting.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites within the Austin area.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Professional certification or license in materials testing is preferred.
