The Opportunity: Manages a team of digital marketing analysts and/or supervisors with a focus on setting objectives, plans, and tactics that directly impact the immediate or short-term (up to 1 year) digital marketing results. Oversees strategy execution across SEO, SEM, social media, email, and mobile marketing initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals. Develops new digital marketing strategies, optimization processes, content standards, or operational plans in support of the organization's broader business strategies. Defines best practices for campaign performance, audience engagement, and digital analytics integration. Works on problems and issues that require understanding and consideration of other disciplines, such as integrating digital marketing with cross-functional business initiatives, optimizing audience segmentation strategies, and refining brand positioning efforts. Solutions draw upon best practices based on expertise and involve analysis of multiple factors, including performance metrics, market trends, and competitive insights. Interacts with senior management on matters concerning the digital marketing function, department-wide initiatives, and customer engagement strategies. Influences and persuades others in sensitive, complex situations while preserving relationships, ensuring alignment on strategic priorities, marketing investments, and brand reputation efforts.

We're seeking an experienced and strategic Marketing Automation Manager to lead the execution and optimization of global marketing automation and email marketing initiatives. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Demand Generation & Marketing Automation, this role manages a team that includes Email Marketing Leads and Coordinators as well as Marketing Automation Coordinators.

You will oversee the planning, execution, and measurement of email and multi-channel marketing campaigns, leveraging data, technology, and testing to drive customer acquisition, engagement, and retention. This role requires strong leadership, technical fluency in marketing automation tools, and a collaborative mindset to work across departments including Content, Web, CRM, and Analytics.

What we're looking for


  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in digital marketing or marketing automation, including 2+ years in a people leadership position.
  • Hands-on experience with Adobe Real-Time CDP, Adobe Target, and/or Marketo Engage (or similar platforms).
  • Strong understanding of B2B demand generation and marketing automation best practices.
  • Experience managing global or multi-region marketing programs.
  • Deep knowledge of email marketing, lead nurturing, segmentation, scoring, and campaign automation.
  • Strong project management and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Analytical mindset with strong skills in Google Analytics, Excel, and reporting tools (e.g., Google Looker Studio, Power BI, QlikView).
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and how they affect campaign targeting and data usage.
  • Experience in B2B eCommerce or the life sciences/healthcare industry is a plus.
  • Preferred Experience:
  • Previous experience working with cross-functional marketing, web, and sales teams.
  • Comfort working with CRM systems (e.g., SAP C4C, Salesforce) and project management tools (e.g., Adobe Workfront, Asana, Jira).
  • Understanding of SEO, taxonomy, and content tagging strategies and their influence on personalization and engagement.

  • Team Leadership & Operations
    • Lead and manage a team of Email Marketing and Marketing Automation professionals, providing coaching, support, and ongoing development.
    • Prioritize resources and assign team responsibilities to ensure timely and accurate campaign execution.
    • Drive operational excellence across campaign workflows, QA, reporting, and platform optimization.
  • Campaign Strategy & Execution
    • Oversee the execution of global, digital marketing campaigns requiring automation-including email, web, and social components-ensuring alignment with segmentation, personalization, and lifecycle goals.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop audience-centric campaigns that support lead generation, nurturing, and retention initiatives.
    • Own the marketing automation calendar and ensure visibility across global teams for planning and alignment.
  • Platform & Data Management
    • Utilize Adobe platforms (including Adobe Marketo Engage or equivalent), Adobe RealTime CDP, and other marketing automation tools to create, optimize, and scale campaigns.
    • Ensure data integrity, enrichment, and compliance across CRM, CDP, and other systems to enable effective targeting and personalization.
    • Support CDP-driven campaigns, including audience segmentation, journey mapping, and real-time personalization.
    • Support lead nurturing and scoring to automate processes and improve conversions.
  • Measurement & Optimization
    • Monitor campaign performance and report on KPIs by campaign, region, segment, and lifecycle stage.
    • Partner with Analytics and Insights teams to derive actionable learnings and inform campaign optimization.
    • Lead A/B and multivariate testing strategies to improve campaign performance across key metrics (CTR, conversion, engagement, etc.).
  • Process Improvement & Documentation
    • Define, document, and continuously improve marketing automation processes, campaign frameworks, and SOPs.
    • Act as a key contributor to marketing technology decisions, integrations, and future enhancements

Pay Transparency:

The expected pre-tax pay for this position is

$97,500.00 - $156,975.00

Actual pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and geographic location.
