Location: Lafayette, LA
Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour
Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Bring the Hustle, We'll Bring the Pay-Shop Technician Jobs Available. Looking for Shop Technician jobs in Lafayette where every day keeps products moving? This opportunity lets you support warehouse operations through picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and inventory handling while helping ensure orders are completed safely and accurately. Education Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous warehouse, logistics, or distribution training is beneficial.
Experience Requirements
- 1-2 years of shop, oilfield, or mechanical experience required
- Valid Driver's License with a clean MVR required
- Forklift experience preferred
- Experience with frac operations, pressure pumping, flowback crews, or well service operations preferred
Job Duties
- Assemble, maintain, and test oilfield pipes, elbows, tees, valves, and fittings
- Perform fitting, piping, and mechanical assembly using hand and power tools
- Assist with hydraulic and pneumatic system troubleshooting
- Support pressure testing and quality inspections
- Rig up and rig down equipment at frac locations
- Install, inspect, and pressure-test frac iron
- Make up and break out hammer unions
- Identify worn, damaged, or leaking iron and connections
- Support shipping, receiving, staging, and production activities as needed
- Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous warehouse, distribution center, fulfillment, manufacturing, or logistics experience is preferred.
- Experience operating forklifts or other powered industrial equipment is beneficial.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory procedures, shipping software, or RF scanning equipment is considered an asset.
- Individuals who demonstrate reliability, adaptability, teamwork, and attention to detail are well positioned for success as a Shop Technician.
Physical Capabilities
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive warehouse tasks throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials and packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to safely work around warehouse equipment, conveyors, and moving inventory.
- Ability to maintain productivity while working in warehouse and distribution environments.
- Steel-toed footwear is required
