Overview
As a Plant Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of a fast-paced roof and floor truss components manufacturing facility, leading all aspects of production, safety, quality, inventory, and team performance. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll have the opportunity to develop associates, improve operational efficiencies, and drive measurable business results while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
What You'll Do
- Lead all manufacturing operations to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery goals are consistently achieved.
- Recruit, develop, coach, and manage a high-performing team of production associates and supervisors.
- Champion a culture of safety by leading new hire orientation, conducting annual safety training, and ensuring compliance with all company policies and OSHA standards.
- Monitor production metrics, labor efficiency, inventory accuracy, and plant performance to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Manage lumber and hardware inventory, complete weekly inventory reporting, and maintain accurate production and financial records.
- Ensure equipment reliability by overseeing preventive maintenance, calibration, and daily facility inspections.
- Optimize plant layout, workflow, and material movement to maximize productivity and reduce waste.
- Oversee timekeeping, attendance, performance evaluations, and employee relations while maintaining open communication with corporate leadership.
- Develop staffing plans, manage labor resources, and oversee departmental budgets to achieve operational and financial objectives.
- Lead performance management initiatives, including coaching, recognition, corrective action, and talent development.
- Maintain high standards of product quality and customer satisfaction through effective production planning and process execution.
What We're Looking For
- Proven leadership experience in manufacturing, within the wood products, truss, wall panel, or building materials industry.
- Strong operational, inventory management, and production planning experience.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, improve processes, and drive results in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills (Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply)
- Experience managing budgets, labor, safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives in a multicultural environment.
- Ability to hire, develop, and retain top talent while building an engaged, high-performing workforce.
