Job Description

Wax X-Ray Operator (2nd Shift)

Location: Mentor, OH
Shift: 2nd Shift | 2:30 PM - 10:30 PM

Join Our Team

We are seeking a detail-oriented Wax X-Ray Operator to join our manufacturing team in Mentor, Ohio. This role is responsible for inspecting wax patterns and components using X-ray and visual inspection techniques to ensure compliance with quality standards, engineering specifications, and customer requirements. The ideal candidate is quality-focused, safety-conscious, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform wax X-ray inspections and wax wall evaluations according to established procedures.
  • Inspect wax patterns and components for defects, wear, and deviations from specifications.
  • Record inspection and production data on control charts and required documentation.
  • Maintain accurate daily time and production records.
  • Utilize inspection tools, measuring devices, and other quality equipment.
  • Handle hazardous materials and waste in accordance with Safety Data Sheets (SDS/MSDS) and company policy.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to achieve production and quality goals.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Experience & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Minimum 1 year of manufacturing, production, inspection, machine operation, or related industrial experience preferred.
  • Previous experience in investment casting, aerospace manufacturing, foundry operations, quality inspection, X-ray inspection, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), quality control, quality assurance, visual inspection, or precision measurement is a plus.
  • Experience using hand tools, measuring instruments, inspection equipment, grinders, racks, tables, and other manufacturing equipment preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a sense of urgency.
  • Reliable attendance and dependability are essential.
Physical & Mental Requirements
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and meet production deadlines.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks, stand for extended periods, and move throughout the work area as needed.
  • Ability to maintain focus and accuracy in a quality-driven environment.
  • Must successfully pass a Jaeger Vision Test.
