TASTE is seeking an experienced, motivated, and guest-focused Assistant Manager to support the daily operations of one of our unique food service and gourmet retail locations.
As the Assistant Manager, you will work directly alongside the General Manager to lead the team, maintain operational excellence, and deliver exceptional guest experiences. This role is ideal for an individual looking to grow their leadership career within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Starting Pay: $15.00/hour + Tips Average Total Compensation: Approximately $23/hour

Position Summary
The Assistant Manager supports all aspects of store operations and serves as Manager on Duty (MOD) in the absence of the General Manager. This role is responsible for helping lead the team, maintaining operational standards, ensuring food safety compliance, and creating a welcoming environment for both guests and employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and oversee daily store operations
- Lead, coach, and motivate team members to maintain high performance and guest satisfaction
- Ensure adherence to food safety, sanitation, and health department standards
- Manage inventory, product ordering, and receiving
- Communicate menu updates, operational initiatives, and company procedures to staff
- Assist in all areas of the business as needed, including production, front of house, delivery, and expo
- Foster a positive, accountable, and team-oriented culture
- Serve as Manager on Duty when necessary
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the General Manager
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must have reliable transportation and flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, with constant moving, bending, lifting, reaching, and turning during all shifts
- Must be able to reach and grasp with hands, talk and hear from both close proximity and a distance, and taste and smell food items for quality control
- Must be able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch, and lift/move at least 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds or more occasionally
- Experience in retail or food service leadership preferred
- Strong communication, customer service, and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to multitask and lead a team in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude with a commitment to teamwork and service excellence
