Georgia-Pacific is seeking a results-driven Shift Reliability Manager to lead and support our Naheola Manufacturing Operations in Pennington, AL. In this role, you will create a safe, high-performance environment that champions our top priority, safety. You will lead by example to cultivate a culture grounded in Principle-Based Management and aligned with our Manufacturing Vision. Your leadership will drive on shift maintenance performance and operational excellence across all shift activities, embodying the mindset that "The Shift Runs the Shift" through principled entrepreneurship and accountability.

What You Will Do

* Model exemplary safety behavior by consistently following all safety protocols and procedures.

* Address any safety exceptions immediately-do not ignore them.

* Conduct focused GEMBA walks according to your leader's standard work to identify, mitigate, and eliminate hazards.

* Collaborate with both outgoing and incoming SRMs to ensure a thorough and effective shift handoff through clear communication.

* Manage and prioritize shift maintenance team (mechanical and E&I) activities. Including coordination of needed maintenance materials, especially on after hours or weekend shifts.

* On after hours and weekend shifts, obtain needed parts/materials from store room and accept after hours parts deliveries.

* Contribute to shift DDS meeting by communicating shift maintenance team activities and at times Lead the shift DDS meeting to identify key needs for a successful shift and prepare the next shift for success.

* Communicate reliability exceptions and corrective efforts clearly and promptly through end-of-shift and DDS reports, as well as during significant upset events requiring frequent updates. This includes initial root cause analysis, facilitating corrective actions from shift resources, and communicating to the appropriate area owners.

* Prioritize maintenance efforts by balancing competing demands and collaboration with SOM using economic principles to focus on the highest-impact opportunities.

* Escalate issues to Area Leadership following standard protocols or when additional support is needed.

* Act as the first responder to safety, environmental, or operational incidents by assessing resource needs, potential impacts, and coordinating appropriate resolution efforts.

* Respond first to personnel behavior or performance incidents to address respectful workplace or workplace violence concerns, escalating as necessary.

* Provide targeted feedback to Performance/Maintenance Leaders on personnel performance, including suggestions for tools or knowledge improvements to enhance operational contributions.

* Review mill KPIs regularly and work with operations teams and SOM to effectively mitigate shift reliability concerns allowing maximized productivity and minimized waste; develop and lead action plans to close gaps caused by process upsets during shifts.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

* Demonstrated ability to contribute effectively in a paper manufacturing environment or proven leadership skills managing teams in dynamic, fast-paced settings.

* Proven capability to lead, hold team members accountable, and drive performance improvements by assessing skill gaps and supporting individual development.

* Proficient in Microsoft Office tools to include Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook

* Proficient in Maintenance Management Systems.

What Will Put You Ahead

* Proven leadership in managing and developing training organizations to enhance workforce capabilities and operational effectiveness.

* In-depth knowledge of papermaking processes and ability to apply this expertise to optimize production and quality outcomes.

* Strong command of mechanical or electrical maintenance practices

* SAP proficiency

* Experience collaborating and working effectively within unionized manufacturing settings, including navigating labor relations and compliance with collective agreements.

* Competence in applying financial analysis and statistical methods to drive data-informed decisions and improve manufacturing performance.

* Training/experience conducting field root cause analysis or five why type analysis.
