We are seeking a Marketing Strategy & Operations Contractor to support marketing transformation, improve operational efficiency, and drive alignment across marketing teams. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complex, matrixed environments and can connect strategy to execution while improving how marketing functions operate at scale.

Role Overview

This role focuses on building and executing marketing strategies, improving operational workflows, and enabling data-driven decision-making across marketing teams. The contractor will partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to align priorities, streamline execution, and improve how marketing initiatives are planned, tracked, and delivered.

A key part of this role is synthesizing insights into clear, executive-ready presentations that support strategic decisions and organizational alignment.

Key Responsibilities



  • Develop and execute marketing strategies and plans that drive brand awareness and revenue impact
  • Conduct market segmentation, customer insights, and competitive analysis to inform decision-making
  • Prioritize marketing initiatives based on ROI, resource constraints, and business impact
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to align marketing execution with broader organizational goals
  • Evaluate market performance, customer satisfaction, and penetration trends to guide strategy
  • Develop and oversee promotional and campaign materials supporting marketing and sales efforts
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and consistency across marketing operations
  • Create executive-level presentations translating data and insights into clear strategic narratives


Required Qualifications



  • 5+ years of experience in marketing strategy, marketing operations, or marketing program management
  • Experience building and executing marketing plans tied to measurable business outcomes
  • Strong background in market research, segmentation, and competitive analysis
  • Experience working in large, matrixed organizations with multiple stakeholders
  • Proven ability to manage end-to-end marketing programs or initiatives independently
  • Strong executive presentation and storytelling skills using data and insights
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive cross-functional alignment
  • Experience improving marketing workflows, processes, or operating models


Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience with marketing transformation, organizational design, or operating model improvements
  • Familiarity with marketing automation, CRM, or campaign management ecosystems (platform-agnostic)
  • Change management exposure (formal or informal)
  • Experience building KPI frameworks, dashboards, or performance reporting systems
  • Background in product marketing or go-to-market strategy
  • PMP, Agile, or structured program management training
