Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., a Fortune 500 global leader in industrial gases and chemicals, is seeking a Cryo Plant Process Engineering professional to join our team at our Corporate Headquarters in Allentown, PA.

The Cryo Plant Process Engineering role within the IG Americas Cryogenics team supports ASU, LHY, LCO2, and LHe production facilities across the Americas.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide plant process engineering support to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations across multiple ASU plants in the Americas region.
  • Support troubleshooting efforts and resolve plant operating issues to maintain reliability and efficiency targets.
  • Interface effectively with Operations, PDO technical functions, and site leadership teams.
  • Drive and support efficiency improvements to meet financial and operational targets.
  • Collaborate with controls and advanced controls teams to optimize and stabilize plant performance.
  • Partner with Product Management, Supply Chain, and Energy teams to support operating strategies and optimize product sourcing.
  • Contribute to KPI development and plant assessment activities to identify and implement improvement opportunities.
  • Travel approximately 25-30% as required for site support and plant assessments.

Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
  • 5-15 years of experience in engineering, operations, or related functions preferred.
  • Technical knowledge of cryogenic equipment, controls, and processes preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate problems/opportunities and drive efficient solutions.
  • Effective interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload.
