As a Buyer at Ledcor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day procurement of equipment, consumables and materials as dictated by project requirements. You will sustain active supplier relationships to maintain a reliable source of supply, while building internal customer relationships by working closely with operations to help meet project requirements.

This role requires ongoing development of broader knowledge and experience and performs with more independence in their own area. The Buyer is expected to still be acquiring higher-level knowledge and skills, solving a range of straightforward day-to-day problems, and assessing possible solutions using standard procedures.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate procurement activities across departments, sourcing equipment, materials, and services to meet project timelines and cost targets

  • Partner with Accounting to ensure timely processing and payment of supplier invoices

  • Monitor build schedules and adjust material delivery plans accordingly, proactively communicating changes to suppliers and warehouse teams to avoid disruptions

  • Maintain and strengthen supplier relationships, addressing performance issues and ensuring long-term alignment with business needs

  • Collaborate with Engineering and Operations to implement BOM changes and support ERP system accuracy and updates

  • Support inventory accuracy initiatives and ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures

Qualifications:

  • Two or more years of experience in telecom construction or a similar environment with procurement software programs

  • Strong proficiency in MS Word and Excel

  • Advanced proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Proven ability to project a friendly open manner and communicate well with management coworkers internal customers suppliers and client representatives

  • Demonstrated capability to process large volumes of material requests in a timely and efficient manner with few errors

  • Adaptability to rapidly changing environments and ability to work under pressure on numerous tasks with imposing deadlines

Work Conditions:

  • This position will provide the flexibility of work from home availability with occasional travel to various Ledcor offices or work sites
