Job Summary

The Merchandiser is responsible for maintaining product availability, presentation, and quality standards across assigned retail accounts. This role ensures products are properly stocked, rotated, displayed, and maintained while supporting sales initiatives and building strong relationships with customers. The Merchandiser represents the brand professionally while executing merchandising programs, identifying sales opportunities, and maintaining compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.

Job Responsibilities



  • Maintain proper product levels, rotation, and presentation across assigned retail locations to minimize out-of-code and damaged product issues.
  • Ensure displays, equipment, and product areas meet company standards for cleanliness, organization, and appearance.
  • Execute merchandising plans, routines, and promotional programs according to established guidelines.
  • Monitor inventory levels and identify opportunities for restocking, product placement improvements, and increased product visibility.
  • Communicate product concerns, including damaged items, out-of-stock conditions, and quality issues, to appropriate sales team members.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with retail customers and store management.
  • Support sales initiatives by identifying upselling opportunities and assisting with product promotions and displays.
  • Monitor competitor activity, including new product launches and pricing changes, and communicate relevant updates to the sales team.
  • Maintain required documentation, including mileage records, training records, and other compliance-related information.
  • Collaborate with sales and merchandising teams to execute customer programs and share best practices.
  • Represent the organization professionally while following company policies, safety standards, and driving requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


Job Requirements



  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to assess inventory levels and product conditions.
  • Basic mathematical skills and ability to perform inventory-related calculations.
  • Proficiency with smartphone technology and basic computer applications.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with sales and merchandising teams.
  • Reliable transportation and required insurance coverage for business use.
  • Prior merchandising experience preferred.
  • Additional language skills are a plus.


Education



  • High school diploma or GED required.


Work Experience



  • Prior merchandising, retail, sales support, or customer service experience preferred.


Additional Job Details (Commute, Attendance, etc.)



  • Position requires regular travel between assigned customer locations.
  • Work is performed in retail environments and may include exposure to outdoor weather conditions and moving equipment.
  • Physical requirements include frequent walking, standing, reaching, bending, and occasional lifting of products up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to maintain a professional appearance and represent the organization positively while working in customer locations.
