Controls Validation Engineer - Testing and Interoperability

The Controls Validation Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability and performance of advanced electrified powertrain systems. Operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, this position focuses on validating propulsion control software, isolating issues, and guaranteeing robust functionality across high-voltage charging systems and other powertrain systems.

Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Effective team player with strong interpersonal skills, comfortable in a multi-cultural matrix organization
  • Professional communication and presentation skills (verbal and written)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing)
  • Interest in working on vehicles and various test benches.



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Master's degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
  • Proficiency in network protocols
  • Strong understanding of controls system and embedded software architectures
  • Hands-on experience with CANoe, CANalyzer, and INCA tools
  • Hands-on experience with Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow
  • Knowledge of functional safety and hazard analysis ISO 26262
  • Experience simulating CAN messages via CAPL Completion of regional high-voltage training courses
  • Willingness to travel as needed in NA and internationally.
