Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital seeks an Echocardiographer II for their Echocardiography department responsible for performing multiple diagnostic related echocardiograms and related procedures. Calculates measurements to obtain data used in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with possible cardiac related symptoms.

QUALIFICATIONS:

All job qualifications listed indicate the minimum level necessary to perform this job proficiently.

Education:

  • Minimum: Graduate from an accredited cardiac sonographer program.

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:

  • Minimum: Registered by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) as a Cardiac Sonographer and American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Preferred: American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).

Technical Requirements:

  • Minimum: Operational knowledge of echocardiography and electrocardiographic equipment. Knowledge of basic human anatomy and a thorough knowledge of cardiac anatomy. Knowledge of basic and advanced arrhythmias. Ability to operate computers.

Years of Related Work Experience:

  • Preferred: 3 years of adult echocardiography experience.

*Pay for non-physician positions is determined based on related years of experience and internal equity. Eligible employees may also receive additional forms of compensation, including shift differentials, on-call pay, incentive pay, and bonus opportunities, where applicable. Manager and above positions may participate in Cottage Health's annual management incentive program. Physician compensation is determined based upon specialty and may include bonus potential.
