Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Director of Lifelong Learning/Continuing Education for the Division of Continuing Studies.
Among the key duties of the position are the following:
- Provides strategic leadership and executive oversight for a broad portfolio of non-credit, continuing education, professional development, workforce development, and lifelong learning programs.
- Ensures achievement of program goals, objectives, outcomes, and deliverables through effective planning, direction, and operational management of all related functions and support services serving adult learners.
- Advances division and university priorities by implementing comprehensive strategies to grow revenue from fee-based courses, services, and nontraditional educational programs, while ensuring high-quality instructional delivery, financial sustainability, and meaningful learner outcomes.
- Maintains and expands partnerships with businesses, industry, community organizations, and campus stakeholders to support continuous program growth and relevance.
- Works collaboratively with faculty, staff, and partners.
- Strengthens pathways between non-credit and credit education, supports innovation in program design and delivery, and fosters a culture of access, excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Provides oversight of budgeting, personnel, and operations to ensure effective and sustainable program performance aligned with division and university mission and regional workforce needs.

Qualifications
| Minimum Education and Experience |
- Master's degree in Higher Education, Business Administration, Public Administration, Education, Organizational Leadership, or a related field.
- Five (5) years of related experience with a minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience required or an equivalent combination of certification, education, and experience.

- Experience using enrollment, completion outcomes and revenue data to inform program improvement and portfolio decisions.
- Working knowledge of customer relationship management or enrollment management systems and experience in budget development, financial oversight, and operational management.
- Ability to translate workforce needs and market trends into viable programs, ability to build and sustain complex partnerships across public, private and academic sectors.
- Data analysis, program assessment and performance reporting.
- Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills.

- Doctoral degree.
- Demonstrated experience leveraging data analytics, artificial intelligence (AI), predictive modeling, CRM platforms, and enrollment management technologies to support student recruitment, enrollment growth, retention, and program optimization.
