Overview

The Product Manager, Marketing Platforms will own and advance the product strategy, roadmap, and day-to-day platform experience for core Marketing Operations capabilities, with primary focus on Seismic, Synthesis and Morningstar Publisher. This role partners closely with Marketing, Sales, Product, Compliance, Technology, Data, and external vendors to deliver scalable, compliant, and measurable platform solutions that help teams create, manage, distribute, and optimize client-facing content. The role is part of the Digital Marketing team and reports to the Head of Digital.

We currently operate in a hybrid working model, whereby you will be required to work in-office 4 days per week.

Responsibilities

    Serve as product owner for Marketing Operations platforms, with primary emphasis on Seismic, Synthesis and Morningstar Publisher that are used to create various marketing and sales collateral.
  • Define and manage platform roadmaps, priorities, backlogs, requirements, release plans, and success measures in alignment with Marketing, Sales, Compliance, Product, and enterprise technology priorities.
  • Translate business needs into clear user stories, workflows, acceptance criteria, configuration decisions, and enhancement plans that improve content activation, sales enablement, publishing, and operational efficiency.
  • Partner with platform users and stakeholders to optimize content lifecycle processes, including creation, review, approval, publishing, distribution, personalization, tagging, search, usage tracking, and retirement.
  • Stay current on platform enhancements, emerging capabilities, and industry trends across Seismic, Synthesis, Morningstar Publisher, and related tools, including AI-enabled features and adjacent technologies, to identify opportunities that improve user experience, efficiency, compliance, and business impact.
  • Lead vendor and internal partner coordination for enhancements, integrations, issue resolution, upgrades, testing, documentation, training, and change management.
  • Support governance, controls, and compliance readiness for regulated marketing and sales content, ensuring platform workflows and permissions support required review, approval, disclosure, and recordkeeping needs.
  • Analyze adoption, usage, content performance, workflow efficiency, and operational health metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and demonstrate business impact.
  • Maintain strong operating practices, including intake management, prioritization forums, stakeholder communications, training materials, platform documentation, and ongoing support models.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, marketing operations, sales enablement, digital marketing, marketing technology, or a related platform management role.
  • Experience owning or supporting enterprise marketing, sales enablement, publishing, content management, workflow, or digital asset platforms; experience with Seismic is strongly relevant.
  • Demonstrated ability to gather requirements, define user stories, prioritize backlogs, manage releases, coordinate testing, and deliver platform enhancements in partnership with business and technology teams.
  • Strong understanding of marketing content operations, including content lifecycle management, metadata/tagging, approvals, publishing, distribution, permissions, analytics, and user adoption.
  • Ability to work effectively in a regulated environment with strong attention to compliance, controls, auditability, risk management, documentation, and operational discipline.
  • Strong vendor management, stakeholder management, problem-solving, communication, and change management skills.
  • Comfort using data and user feedback to evaluate platform performance, identify improvement opportunities, and communicate business value.
  • Remain in stationary position for prolonged periods of time.
  • Operate computer programs and software.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences in person and in electronic formats.
  • Day-to-day contact with others (co-workers and/or public).
  • Ability to work in a collaborative business environment in close quarters with peers and varying interruptions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience administering, implementing, or optimizing Seismic, Synthesis, Morningstar Publisher or comparable platforms.
  • Experience in asset management, financial services, wealth management, institutional marketing, or another regulated B2B environment.
  • Experience improving content findability, taxonomy, personalization, audience segmentation, advisor/sales workflows, and measurable content engagement.
  • Experience leading change management, training, platform adoption programs, governance forums, and cross-functional operating models.
  • Agile, Scrum, product owner, project management, or technology delivery certification or equivalent practical experience.

Compensation

Base Pay Range: $115,000 - $145,000

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary bonus programs, or other annual or non-annual incentive or sales plans.)
