Credence is seeking a highly motivated Communications Specialist to support the U.S. Space Force, Space Systems Command (SSC), S6 Office as part of the Command Staff Support Services team at Los Angeles Space Force Base in El Segundo, California.

The Communications Specialist will support strategic communications, executive messaging, stakeholder engagement, and information dissemination efforts for SSC's Chief Information Office (S6). The successful candidate will help communicate the organization's mission, priorities, initiatives, and accomplishments to internal and external audiences through a variety of communication channels and products. This position requires exceptional writing, editing, coordination, and organizational skills, along with the ability to work effectively with senior military, civilian, and contractor personnel.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to...

  • Develop, edit, and maintain a variety of communication products including articles, newsletters, briefing materials, talking points, speeches, fact sheets, executive summaries, and strategic messaging documents
  • Support the planning and execution of communication campaigns aligned with SSC and S6 strategic objectives
  • Draft and coordinate internal and external communications to promote awareness of organizational initiatives, programs, milestones, and accomplishments
  • Assist with executive communications for senior leaders, including preparation of presentations, correspondence, and stakeholder engagement materials
  • Coordinate messaging and content across multiple communication platforms, including websites, collaboration portals, and social media channels, as authorized
  • Develop visual communication products such as infographics, brochures, posters, and presentation materials
  • Support event planning and communications for meetings, conferences, ceremonies, leadership engagements, and workforce outreach activities
  • Collaborate with government stakeholders, public affairs personnel, technical subject matter experts, and leadership teams to ensure communication products are accurate, timely, and consistent
  • Track communication activities and provide recommendations for improving audience engagement and outreach effectiveness
  • Ensure all communications comply with applicable Department of Defense (DoD), U.S. Space Force, and SSC policies, branding requirements, and security guidelines
  • Maintain document repositories, communication calendars, and content management systems as required

  • Ensure all communications comply with applicable Department of Defense (DoD), U.S. Space Force, and SSC policies, branding requirements, and security guidelines
  • Maintain document repositories, communication calendars, and content management systems as required
  • Active Secret security clearance is required
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, Marketing, Strategic Communications, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in communications, public affairs, strategic communications, marketing, or related disciplines
  • Demonstrated experience producing high-quality written and visual communication products for senior leadership audiences
  • Excellent written, verbal, editing, proofreading, and presentation skills
  • Experience developing executive-level briefings and presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a government-contractor team environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting the Department of Defense, U.S. Space Force, U.S. Air Force, or other federal agencies
  • Familiarity with strategic communications planning and stakeholder engagement activities
  • Experience supporting executive offices, headquarters staffs, or command-level organizations
  • Experience with graphic design, digital content creation, or multimedia communication tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, or similar platforms
  • Knowledge of DoD communication, public affairs, and information security policies
