Position Summary MARKETING STATEMENT The Defense Systems Division is part of the Parker Aerospace Group, located in Irvine, California. Our products are used across military and commercial platforms globally. At Parker, our team members belong, matter and make a difference. JOB SUMMARY Responsible for coordinating the activity of all repairs within the MRO value stream. As the POC for all MRO-related activities, he/she will interact with customers concerning RFQs, contracts, price, delivery, and quality. This position works independently while leading a team frequently interacting with internal stakeholders/support functions to obtain pricing, review contracts, expedite processes, monitor the status of orders, prepare shipping documents, and solve technical problems. Is accountable for the on-time completion (including improving turnaround time) of repairs and is responsible for negotiating delivery expectations with customers. This position requires substantial knowledge of government contracts, shipping requirements, inventory control, and assembly processes. Must be able to perform job requirements under minimal supervision. This position will implement the Parker Lean system and Win Strategy to ensure a safe work environment, maximize profitable growth, drive quality improvements, provide premier customer service, develop a technically qualified work force, reduce operating costs, inventories and lead times through continuous improvements. Oversee day-to-day activities to meet daily, monthly, quarterly and yearly expectations. Scope/ Supervision and Interaction: _X_ Has Direct Reports ____ Does Not Have Direct Reports Essential Functions: Ownership of Value Stream P&L's including cost analysis and new business opportunities, product line margin, delivery performance, PPV goals and manufacturing productivity. Responsible for increasing margins for product portfolio over time Responsible for POP implementation and long-term manufacturing strategies. Works with Design and Manufacturing Engineering to come up with work instructions. Works with Manufacturing and Planning to schedule manufacturing orders to ensure customer promise dates are met. Maintain the MRO service records and documentation according to customer/government requirements. Coordinate and process government order shipments with shipping. May be required to assist in other areas of the business Operational leadership including successful Lean implementation resulting in productivity gains. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS Must be a US Citizen EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university or equivalent; Masters preferred. 8-10 years of major professional accomplishments, including increasing responsibility and leadership of projects and teams of considerable size, scope and complexity.
