Assistant Relocation Project Manager - JLL

What this job involves:

The Assistant Relocation Project Manager plays a critical role in delivering seamless workplace transitions that minimize disruption and maximize employee satisfaction. You'll orchestrate complex move projects from initial planning through post-move reconciliation, ensuring every detail-from vendor coordination to budget management-is executed flawlessly. Working closely with occupancy planning teams and serving as the primary customer liaison, you'll transform potentially stressful relocations into smooth, well-communicated experiences. This role offers the opportunity to lead teams, drive process improvements, and directly impact how JLL's clients experience workplace change.

What your day-to-day will look like:

Move Project Orchestration: Lead pre-move and post-move meetings, develop comprehensive timelines and strategies, and coordinate all vendor activities including movers, IT disconnect/reconnect services, and facility support. Maintain on-site presence during critical move activities to ensure seamless execution.

Budget and Vendor Management: Forecast project requirements, prepare budgets, collaborate with supply chain on RFPs, and track expenditures to ensure cost transparency and reconciliation. Analyze variances and implement corrective actions as needed.

Customer Communication and Experience: Create and distribute welcome communications, guide team managers and administrators through move logistics, maintain comprehensive project documentation, and manage the move matrix with detailed customer information and technical requirements.

Space Readiness and Quality Control: Assess cubicle conditions, order replacement parts, coordinate furniture layout and storage solutions, distribute move materials (boxes, labels, instructions), and submit service tickets for cleaning and workspace setup.

Team Leadership: Manage, develop, and supervise a detail-oriented team delivering exceptional move experiences. Provide onboarding, training, and performance management while fostering an environment of teamwork and excellence.

Continuous Improvement: Review existing processes, policies, and practices; identify opportunities for improvement; and serve as a change agent to enhance move operations and customer satisfaction.

Post-Move Coordination: Manage vendor punch lists, coordinate crate and box pickup, arrange scrap removal and furniture recycling/reuse, and ensure origin locations are properly cleared and prepared for incoming teams.

Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a corporate environment with demonstrated project coordination or facilities management responsibilities

  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience leading teams in relocation, facilities, or related operational fields

  • Proven project management capabilities including budgeting, vendor management, timeline development, and multi-stakeholder coordination

  • Proficiency with project management platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, and workplace management systems

  • Strong analytical skills with ability to forecast requirements, track budgets, identify variances, and implement corrective measures

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, facilities management, project management, or related field

  • Experience with RFP processes and vendor selection in facilities or relocation services

  • Knowledge of workplace design, space planning, and furniture systems

  • Certification in project management (PMP, CAPM) or facilities management (FMP)

  • Experience with change management principles and techniques for organizational transitions

  • Background in customer service or client-facing roles within corporate real estate or facilities management

  • Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) or IWMS (Integrated Workplace Management Systems)

Estimated compensation for this position:

66,400.00 - 81,400.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
