Overview

Hexagon Autonomous Solutions is looking for Production Manager to for overseeing cross-functional execution across Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, Planning, and Data Management functions. This role ensures alignment of product execution with operational, quality, and business objectives while driving continuous improvement, process standardization, and team performance. The position serves as a key liaison between operations, engineering, and support functions to ensure efficient product delivery, high-quality output, and scalable processes.

The Location: Hexagon is a global company with offices around the world. This position is based in Morton, Illinois.



Responsibilities

As our Production Manager, you would be responsible for:

    Overseeing Production, Manufacturing Engineering, and Data Management.
  • Developing and enforcing employee safety policies and training programs.
  • Leading process development and training initiatives.
  • Serving as a Continuous Improvement advocate for multiple teams.
  • Prioritizing work assignments effectively.
  • Facilitating interdepartmental communication.
  • Setting team objectives that align with departmental goals.
  • Managing daily team activities, establish clear expectations, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Fostering a team culture that celebrates successes and promotes continuous improvement.
  • Guiding, monitor, assess, and mentor employees.
  • Planning and implement employee training and development initiatives.
  • Leading team deliverables, prepare performance reviews, and provide coaching to enhance individual and group capabilities.
  • Continuously developing and improving documentation and processes, along with reporting.
  • Generating daily, weekly, and monthly reports and communicating project and department progress to organizational leadership.
  • Maintaining procedures, policies, and documentation for development activities.
  • Conducting and assist with feasibility studies for new processes.
  • Identifying process improvement opportunities and equipment requirements for development.
  • Demonstrating strong project management skills and leadership qualities.
  • Adapting to a flexible and fluid work environment.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree with a manufacturing focus or a related discipline preferred; or 5 years' experience in appropriate production and/or engineering role.
  • Increasing levels of responsibility in a production environment

Key Success Factors:

  • Ability to create and understand reports to make production decisions
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience with beta product or pilot plant production.
  • Lean manufacturing certification.
