Americas Head of FP&A and Strategic Initiatives - JLL Onsite - Chicago, IL with an expectation of 4+ days in-office weekly, enabling effective collaboration with the Americas Leasing leadership team, JLL Global FP&A and broader Finance team, and functional partners across JLL. What this job involves:

As the Head of FP&A and Strategic Initiatives for Americas Leasing Advisory, you'll serve as a strategic finance leader driving both operational excellence and transformational change across JLL's Leasing business. This role uniquely combines responsibility for core financial planning and analysis with leadership of high-impact strategic initiatives that shape the future direction of the business. You'll partner directly with the Americas Leasing CEO, COO, and Executive Committee to translate data into actionable insights, optimize financial performance, and execute complex cross-functional projects that strengthen JLL's competitive position in the market. Leading a high-performing team, you'll establish best-in-class FP&A frameworks while simultaneously driving strategic initiatives around broker economics, market positioning, and business transformation. What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Lead comprehensive FP&A processes including annual planning, quarterly forecasting, and monthly financial reporting, partnering with Leasing Local Finance leaders to deliver actionable business intelligence and strategic insights to the Americas Leasing Executive Committee

  • Drive strategic initiatives and business transformation projects across the Leasing organization, conducting broker lifecycle analysis, developing capital allocation strategies, optimizing incentive structures, and leading market intelligence assessments to identify competitive advantages and growth opportunities

  • Serve as strategic advisor to senior leadership, facilitating executive decision-making forums and translating complex financial data into clear strategic recommendations on investments, market expansion, resource allocation, and competitive positioning

  • Develop sophisticated financial models, scenario analyses, and business cases to evaluate new opportunities, assess market dynamics, and support strategic recommendations on service offerings, go-to-market strategies, and broker productivity enhancement initiatives

  • Manage complex cross-functional workstreams involving Operations, Technology, HR, Total Rewards, Legal, and Corporate functions, establishing governance frameworks to monitor progress, drive accountability, and ensure successful implementation of strategic initiatives

  • Build and mentor a high-performing FP&A team, providing coaching and professional development while fostering a culture of analytical excellence, intellectual curiosity, and strategic thinking that positions Finance as a key business enabler

  • Drive innovation in financial planning capabilities through automation, advanced analytics, data visualization tools, and business intelligence platforms, continuously enhancing the efficiency and strategic value of FP&A operations

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA, CPA, or CFA strongly preferred

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, management consulting, or related finance and strategy roles with demonstrated strategic impact

  • Proven track record leading strategic initiatives and cross-functional projects that delivered measurable business results in complex, matrixed organizations

  • Extensive experience building sophisticated financial models, business cases, and strategic analyses to support executive-level decision-making and drive business performance

  • Significant experience managing and developing high-performing finance teams in dynamic, fast-paced environments

  • Demonstrated ability to serve as trusted strategic advisor and business partner to senior executives, translating financial insights into actionable business strategies

  • Strong executive presence with exceptional communication skills to influence stakeholders and facilitate strategic discussions at the highest levels of the organization

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in commercial real estate, professional services, or other talent-intensive industries with understanding of service business economics

  • Knowledge of broker or producer business models, talent economics, compensation structures, and incentive design in professional services environments

  • Familiarity with real estate market dynamics, leasing advisory operations, and competitive landscape in the commercial real estate industry

  • Experience implementing financial planning systems, business intelligence platforms, or analytics tools to enhance FP&A capabilities and drive process automation

  • Track record of successful change management and organizational transformation in support of strategic initiatives

  • Advanced proficiency in data visualization, analytics platforms, and financial planning technologies beyond traditional Excel and PowerPoint capabilities

  • Experience conducting market intelligence analysis, competitive assessments, and strategic positioning work in collaboration with research or strategy functions

Estimated compensation for this position:

225,000.00 - 325,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
