Your efforts will directly reduce operational risks, improve hardware longevity, and contribute significantly to the overall efficiency and reliability of a world-class technological infrastructure. This is an opportunity to apply your technical skills in a hands-on environment, influencing processes and standards that uphold technological excellence. **What You'll Do:** * Perform specialized inspections and repairs on critical hardware components.
* Conduct quick testing for Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) to facilitate re-inventory.
* Verify damage on parts reported by other personnel, ensuring accurate assessment and quarantine.
* Execute repairs on damaged components, including cleaning thermal paste from processors and straightening bent connectors.
* Replace missing parts such as processor carrier frames and dust covers.
* Conduct periodic audits of handling, electrostatic discharge (ESD) processes, and packaging methods across various operational touchpoints.
* Assist site leadership in efforts to minimize hardware damage through spot checks of process staging areas for proper handling, packaging, and storage.
* Support the execution of the damaged parts process, ensuring verified damaged parts are quarantined and not mixed with functional products.
* Identify and escalate issues contributing to part damage.
* Provide essential support for key field campaigns and failure investigations. **What You'll Bring:** **Must-Have Qualifications:** * Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a technical field.
* 3+ years of experience in a technical role.
* General knowledge of electronic parts and components used in infrastructure hardware (e.g., Motherboards, DIMMs, Hard Drives, network cards, optical components).
* Ability to perform 1st Level Failure Analysis (FA) for electronic parts.
* Familiarity with typical mechanical defects found in electronic components and hardware.
* Ability to sit for extended periods (several hours at a time) while performing detailed inspections of electronic parts and components.
* Familiarity with simple inspection equipment such as stereo microscopes and ring lights.
* Proficiency in using a PC to record and report data.
* Ability to write clear process instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
* Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with and influence others.
* Physical capability for medium to heavy materials handling (e.g., lifting, pushing/pulling). **Nice-to-Have Qualifications:** * Quality Assurance background within the electronics industry.
* Experience in troubleshooting and repair of server, storage, and networking products.
