Summary:
The Director, Global Facilities is responsible for providing strategic leadership and operational oversight for manufacturing facilities and related EHS and sustainability programs across the company's global footprint, including the United States, Mexico, Europe, and Asia. This role ensures safe, compliant, resilient, and efficient manufacturing operations while advancing the company's environmental, social, and governance (ESG) commitments as a publicly traded organization.

This position plays a critical role in risk management, regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and ESG performance, partnering closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, HR and Audit to support long-term value creation and regulatory disclosure obligations.

Responsibilities:
Manufacturing Facilities Leadership

  • Lead global strategy and execution for facilities and grounds management across manufacturing sites.
  • Establish and maintain global facilities standards for asset integrity, preventative maintenance, utilities, energy management, and emergency preparedness.
  • Oversee capital planning and execution for site expansions, new site development, site closures, equipment installation, lease renewals, and major facility upgrades.
  • Ensures facilities support operational efficiency, production continuity, and quality requirements in regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Drive cost optimization, reliability, and lifecycle asset management across global manufacturing operations.
  • Communicates with relevant insurance carriers to ensure that all facilities, equipment and property are adequately insured and compliant with regulations.
  • Oversees and facilities local real estate while driving the development and execution of a long term strategic real estate master plan.

Environmental Health & Safety (EHS)

  • Direct global EHS programs for manufacturing operations, ensuring compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations in all regions.
  • Develop standardized EHS management systems aligned with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
  • Support ESG data collection, internal controls, and external disclosures for a publicly traded company.
  • Partner cross-functionally to ensure audit-ready ESG reporting aligned with investor and regulatory expectations.

ESG & Sustainability Leadership

  • Lead environmental and safety components of the company's ESG strategy with emphasis on manufacturing impacts.
  • Drive climate, energy, emissions, waste, and water reduction initiatives.
  • Support ESG data collection, internal controls, and external disclosures for a publicly traded company.
  • Partner cross-functionally to ensure audit-ready ESG reporting aligned with investor and regulatory expectations.

Leadership & Governance

  • Lead and develop global facilities, EHS, and sustainability teams.
  • Establish governance models, dashboards, and continuous improvement processes.
  • Advise executive leadership and support board-level reporting on risk, safety, and ESG performance.

Other information:

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Facilities Management, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field; Master's preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in global manufacturing facilities and EHS.
  • Understanding of the total business operational to include material procurement, order entry, forecasting, manufacturing, invoicing, customer returns, inventory levels and on-time delivery.
  • Experience supporting ESG initiatives and disclosures in a publicly traded environment.
  • Strong leadership, financial, and cross-cultural communication skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and guidance, exercising discretion and independent judgment.
