Your Opportunity: Taylor Visual Impressions is looking for an Industrial Maintenance Technician to support our high-volume commercial printing and wide-format graphics production facility in Duluth, GA. This role is responsible for supporting equipment reliability, reducing downtime, and helping build a proactive maintenance process for production equipment, finishing systems, digital print equipment, and facility infrastructure. This is a hands-on maintenance role for someone who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, solving mechanical problems, and keeping production moving. Printing experience is helpful, but strong production equipment maintenance experience is the key starting point. Work Authorization: To be considered for the Taylor opportunities, candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship. Your Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm with on-call support as needed. Your Responsibilities:
- Support and maintain production and finishing equipment, including small-format finishing, bindery finishing, CNC wide-format finishing equipment, and other production machinery.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to help reduce equipment downtime.
- Support equipment such as folders, cutters, slitters, die cutters, CNC equipment, bindery equipment, and other production equipment.
- Develop and manage a plant-wide preventative maintenance schedule.
- Maintain inventory of critical spare parts to help reduce downtime caused by long lead times.
- Work directly with OEM and manufacturer technicians to resolve complex technical issues and learn equipment-specific maintenance needs.
- Coordinate outside contractors for maintenance, repairs, service calls, and new equipment installations.
- Support production teams with timely communication on equipment status, planned maintenance, and repair timelines.
- Support digital printing equipment as needed, including small-format, wide-format, and press equipment.
You Must Have:
- 2+ years of maintenance, equipment repair, industrial maintenance, facility maintenance, or related hands-on mechanical experience.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Electrical troubleshooting experience in a production, manufacturing, equipment repair, or facility maintenance environment.
- Experience supporting production machinery, industrial equipment, finishing equipment, CNC equipment, bindery equipment, automotive equipment, aviation equipment, or other mechanical systems.
- Ability to take initiative, prioritize work, and support maintenance needs in a fast-paced production environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work directly with production teams, outside contractors, and OEM technicians.
- Ability to stay organized and help track preventative maintenance needs, equipment issues, spare parts, and repair activity.
We Would Also Prefer:
- Experience with commercial printing, digital print, wide-format graphics, finishing, bindery, or CNC equipment.
- Experience supporting folders, cutters, slitters, die cutters, inserters, or other finishing/production equipment.
- Experience supporting digital printing equipment, including Komori IS29, Canon IX, HP Indigo 7K, MCS Merlin, EFI Nozomi 14000sd, EFI Q3H XP, or Canon Colorado.
- Experience building or managing preventative maintenance schedules.
- Experience maintaining spare parts inventory or supporting equipment uptime initiatives.
- Technical school, automotive, aviation, industrial maintenance, mechanical repair, or related hands-on equipment training.
Requirements Within This Position:
- Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand.
- Regularly required to remain in a stationary position.
- Constantly operates machinery and handles products, including print materials.
- Frequently required to move inside the facility.
- Regularly move up to 25+ pounds, including lifting, pushing, pulling and/or carrying.
