What You Will be Doing

The Global Solution Lead is responsible for driving the strategy, development, and successful implementation of complex, large-scale solutions across various global markets and business units. This role focuses on identifying market needs, shaping solution roadmaps, and ensuring alignment with Hitachi's strategic objectives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Define and articulate the global solution strategy and roadmap, identifying market opportunities, customer needs, and competitive landscapes.
  • Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of global solutions, from concept and design to development, launch, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate extensively with regional sales, marketing, engineering, and service teams to ensure solution relevance, market adoption, and operational readiness.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, providing thought leadership and guidance on solution architectures, technologies, and best practices to internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and industry influencers to gather insights and drive solution innovation.
  • Manage cross-functional global teams, ensuring effective communication, resource allocation, and project delivery in a matrixed organization.
  • Oversee the creation of solution-specific collateral, including white papers, presentations, and training materials.
  • Monitor solution performance, analyze market feedback, and implement data-driven improvements to maximize business value and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure solutions adhere to global regulatory requirements, compliance standards, and Hitachi's ethical guidelines.
  • Identify and evaluate potential M&A opportunities, partnerships, or technology acquisitions that could enhance the global solution portfolio.

What You Will Bring to the Team

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in solution management, product management, or a related strategic role within a global technology company.
  • Proven track record of successfully defining, launching, and scaling complex enterprise-level solutions across multiple geographies.
  • Deep understanding of specific industry verticals relevant to Hitachi (e.g., IT, OT, energy, mobility, healthcare) and their associated digital transformation challenges.
  • Strong technical acumen with the ability to understand and articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of an organization.
  • Demonstrated experience managing global, cross-functional teams and projects in a highly matrixed environment.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of developing long-term vision and executing short-term goals.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in other languages (e.g., Japanese) is a plus.
  • Ability to travel internationally as required.

As required by the equal pay and transparency acts, the expected base salary for this position is: $143K to $200K. Expected on-target earnings: $200K to 267K

The expected pay is determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, depth of experience in the practice area. Employees are eligible to participate in Hitachi Vantara's bonus/variable/commission pay programs, where applicable, and are subject to the program's conditions and restrictions.
