We are seeking a skilled and forward-thinking Public Works Maintenance Operations Supervisor - Water to lead water distribution operations, emergency response, and field maintenance programs that keep our community’s critical infrastructure safe and reliable. This leadership role is ideal for a hands-on professional who values safety, operational excellence, team development, and proactive system management.Recruitment information: The first review of applications will be May 28th, 2026 Schedule will be the following: Mondays-Thursdays (4/10) every Friday off (6:00 am - 4:30 pm) -Subject to change
What will you do in this position? - Water System Operations: Oversee water distribution system operations, maintenance, shutdowns, asset planning, and water quality (chlorine residuals, flushing, contamination prevention).
- Oversight of SCADA/pressure zones and system hydraulics.
- Regulatory Compliance & Asset Management: Ensure compliance with DOH regulations, reporting requirements, and preventive maintenance programs.
- Emergency Response & Safety: Manage emergency repairs, outage response, system restoration, and enforce safety standards.
- Leadership & Crew Management: Lead field crews, coordinate daily operations, training, schedules, and contractor activities.
- Communication & Process Improvement: Respond to customer concerns, coordinate public notifications, and improve operational procedures and performance.
