Note: This role is Hybrid 3 days onsite in Playa Vista, CA.

This is not your typical agency ACD, Copy role. It is a unique, highly strategic 50% writing and 50% tactical editing split. Sitting inside the newly minted Enterprise Brand team, you will act as the core verbal thought leader alongside our Design Director. Your mission? Building, protecting, and scaling the brand identity frameworks that govern our internal company culture, B2B rebrands, and interactive systems for 1.6 million associates.

This is incredibly high-visibility, high-velocity work that regularly moves from early brainstorm decks straight to the boardroom for C-suite and Presidential approval. It requires a unique combination of high-level brand strategy ("brand on a page") and the "sleeves-up" grit to execute unglamorous, day-to-day corporate communication updates with extreme precision.

What You'll Do Daily:

  • The Brand Edit: Take a true "player-coach" stance. You will guide and mentor junior/mid-level writers, performing developmental edits on copy documents to ensure everything aligns structurally with our deep corporate tone of voice.
  • Systems Architecture: Brainstorm and architect text-based brand systems from absolute scratch, creating comprehensive style guides, brand pillars, and narrative playbooks that can scale across the entire enterprise.
  • AI Persona Development: Build the verbal identities, distinct character tones, prompts, and behavioral rules for our growing ecosystem of internal automated AI agents and digital assistants.
  • Retail Brand Experience (RBX): Oversee physical touchpoints across our brick-and-mortar footprint, writing and editing copy for store murals, environmental wayfinding signage, and associate merchandise/swag.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Act as the "other seat at the table" with design leadership. You will collaborate daily with Product, Global Tech Marketing (GTM), and legal stakeholders to present creative rationale and defend brand voice consistency.

Who You Are:

  • A Balanced Pedigree: You bring a robust mix of traditional Creative Agency roots (giving you that sharp, conceptual "big-idea" mindset) and In-House Creative Studio experience (giving you the pivot stamina and corporate navigation skills required to thrive here).
  • An Eagle-Eyed Editor: You are fiercely detail-oriented and meticulous. You possess a flawless command of craft and execution-nothing escapes your eye, from structural narrative tone down to a misplaced comma.
  • Comfortable in Ambiguity: You thrive in a rapid, high-volume environment. When priorities shift or multiple projects hit your desk at once, you can stay calm, nimble, and execute with speed.
  • Radically Ego-Free: Our studio culture relies entirely on people who are kind, communicative, and collaborative. There are no bylines or individual egos on this team. You have to be genuinely energized by doing incredible, highly visible internal work that will never see the public light of day.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of professional copywriting, editing, and creative leadership experience.
  • A portfolio that showcases deep systems-thinking-we want to see multi-format decks, comprehensive brand books, corporate rebrands, and complex B2B narrative frameworks rather than just flashy consumer broadcast spots.
  • Proven experience translating complex, highly dense, or technically rigid corporate landscapes into accessible, human, benefit-driven stories.
  • Hands-on familiarity with modern creative workflows and AI iteration tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Figma, etc.).

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $70.00 to $75.00. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
