Regional Director Business Development - Western Region

The Director of Business Development, Western Region, leads and develops a team of regional sales managers responsible for driving new business acquisition and profitable network growth. This role owns the full newagent sales lifecycle-from prospecting and lead generation through contract negotiation, onboarding, and transition to account management-ensuring the team meets or exceeds revenue and profitability objectives.

The leader will define strategic direction, enhance sales execution, and apply datadriven performance management to maximize productivity and ROI. This role partners closely with Marketing, Operations, and Account Management to ensure seamless agent activation, strong market presence, and long-term partner success.

• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Territory Sales Executives focused on new business growth.

• Establish clear goals, KPIs, and performance standards aligned with company objectives.

• Monitor sales performance, provide ongoing coaching, and implement improvement plans when needed.

• Develop and execute territory strategies to optimize pipeline quality and target highpotential agent opportunities.

• Analyze market data, competitive trends, and demographic insights to identify and prioritize expansion opportunities.

• Create and present performance, pipeline, and market reports to highlight risks, opportunities, and trends.

• Ensure disciplined management of the full sales cycle, including accurate forecasting and strong close rates.

• Lead contract negotiations to ensure profitability and adherence to company policies.

• Partner with internal teams to streamline onboarding, training, and implementation for new agents.

• Work closely with Account Management to support a smooth handoff and strong early-stage retention.

• Collaborate with Marketing and Operations to improve lead generation, accelerate activation, and enhance the overall agent experience.

Role Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; MBA preferred.

• 10-15 years of progressive sales experience with strong results in new business development and territory expansion.

• 5-10 years of experience in sales leadership roles.

• Experience in consumer financial services or money transfer industries preferred.

• Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving business growth.

• Strong analytical skills with experience evaluating sales data, market trends, and competitive landscapes.

• Proven ability to lead, recruit, develop, and mentor high-performing sales teams.

• Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to influence clients and internal stakeholders effectively.

• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.

• Bi-lingual and/or bi-cultural experience is highly preferred.

• Ability to work effectively both independently and cross-functionally across teams and departments.

• Strong understanding of financial products, market dynamics, and relevant regulatory requirements.

Salary

The base salary range is $135,000 - $150,000 per year. This position is eligible for sales compensation and stock incentives align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on candidates' qualifications, skills, and competencies.
