Accounting and Financial Reporting Fall Intern - Cincinnati, OH

Job Description:

This is a student Fall (early August - December 2026) intern/co-op position responsible for staff accounting functions in the Accounting and Finance Department of altafiber.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparation of reports that are filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission, including quarterly financial statements (Form 10-Q), annual financial statements (Form 10-K), employee benefit plans (Form 11-K) and other reports
• Perform various analyses of the Company's financial results
• Assist with the monthly close process including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations
• Assist with special projects as needed

Education:

• Candidate pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred
• No previous job experience, certification, licenses, or other experiences required

Special Knowledge/Skills:

• Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment
• Computer skills including Microsoft Excel preferred
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
