Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager for an on-site contract position with a Major Financial Services Company located in Milwaukee, WI. This is a 12-month contract opportunity. This position is on-site 3 days per week.

Pay range: $55.00 - $58.00 per hour (W2)

The Senior Project Manager will support technology platform initiatives, including efforts related to domain blueprints, shared business platforms, business services, business event hubs, and API enablement. The project manager will help coordinate execution across engineering and platform teams, manage workstreams, track progress, surface risks, and ensure stakeholders remain aligned.

One key initiative involves domain blueprints, an effort to create blueprints for core technology domains, with a target completion timeframe in early October. This person will initially shadow internal leadership, build relationships across the organization, and gradually take ownership of assigned workstreams.

Responsibilities

  • Manage two to three small or medium-sized technology workstreams on an ad hoc basis.
  • Drive project execution by facilitating conversations, clarifying next steps, and keeping stakeholders aligned.
  • Support the domain blueprints initiative by helping manage timelines, Jira boards, dependencies, risks, and action items.
  • Partner with engineering teams, platform teams, product stakeholders, and technology leaders to coordinate execution.
  • Support initiatives related to business services, shared business platforms, business event hubs, and API enablement.
  • Manage and maintain Jira boards, including tasks, blockers, ownership, dependencies, and progress tracking.
  • Identify, track, and escalate risks, issues, and dependencies as needed.
  • Build internal relationships to understand team needs, priorities, and execution challenges.
  • Facilitate communication across stakeholders and ensure decisions, action items, and next steps are documented and followed through.
  • Help keep stakeholders focused and aligned, especially in ambiguous or evolving project environments.
  • Support metric-driven project tracking, reporting, and planning activities.
  • Operate independently in a low-micromanagement environment while speaking up early when support or clarification is needed.
  • Influence without authority across technical teams and business partners.
  • Provide clear project updates to leadership and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 5-7+ years of project management experience, preferably within technology or engineering environments.
  • Experience managing small to medium-sized technical projects or multiple concurrent workstreams.
  • Strong ability to drive execution in ambiguous, ad hoc, or loosely defined project environments.
  • Experience working with engineering teams, technology platform teams, software development teams, or technical stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience managing work in Jira.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment; Scrum background is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to manage risks, issues, dependencies, action items, and stakeholder follow-up.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to lead conversations and keep teams focused.
  • Ability to influence without authority.
  • Self-motivated working style; must be comfortable operating independently without heavy hand-holding.
  • Ability to build relationships quickly across internal teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Comfortable working in a metric-driven environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in financial services, insurance, banking, investments, or enterprise technology environments.
  • Technical background or strong technical project exposure; former backend engineering experience would be a plus.
  • Understanding of APIs, API enablement, business event hubs, shared services, or platform engineering.
  • Experience with domain blueprints, architecture roadmaps, technical capability mapping, or current-state/future-state planning.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-wide technology initiatives that impact multiple engineering teams.
  • Experience with annual planning, roadmap planning, or strategic technology planning.
