Power BI Developer - Hybrid

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Power BI Developer - Hybrid position with a Major Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This position requires 3 days onsite.

The Risk Technology group is seeking a skilled Power BI Developer with experience in designing, developing, and deploying business intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Power BI for data visualization and reporting, and developing custom applications to support organizational processes. This role is critical to transforming business requirements into actionable insights and solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI
• Connect to various data sources, transform data using Power Query, and create robust data models
• Implement advanced DAX calculations for business metrics and KPIs
• Publish and schedule reports, ensuring secure access and scalability
• Optimize performance of reports and dashboards

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience with Power BI development
• Proven experience in creating advanced Power BI dashboards
• Strong expertise in DAX, Power Query, and Data Modeling
• Proficient in SQL and Database Management
• Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.

Desired skills:

• Familiarity with Power Automate for workflow automation
• Knowledge of Azure cloud services
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python or R)
• Understanding of REST APIs for integrating applications
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Pay range: Up to $61.97 per hour
