Logistics and Warehouse Coordinator - Lenexa, KS, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Pay range: $17.20+ per hour

Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

The Logistics and Warehouse Coordinator support daily warehouse and logistics operations by coordinating the flow of materials, shipments, and inventory. This role ensures accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across receiving, storage, and distribution activities.



Responsibilities:

  • Receive, inspect, verify, and accurately record all incoming materials into the Materials Management system, route materials to appropriate on-site and off-site locations
  • Coordinate and prepare outbound shipments, including packaging, labeling, and completion of all required documentation
  • Manage returned goods in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Organize and store inventory in designated locations, ensuring proper stock rotation based on receipt and expiration dates
  • Identify and escalate short-dated materials (less than 30 days to expiration) to the Logistics and Warehouse Manager for appropriate action
  • Support order fulfillment activities, including order entry, picking, packing, and delivery of internal and external orders
  • Deliver materials to designated staging areas and departments in a timely and accurate manner
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including safety standards (OSHA), timekeeping, attendance, and code of conduct
  • Utilize handheld scanning devices and systems to maintain accurate tracking, documentation, and inventory control
  • Safely transport materials, specimens, and supplies to designated locations while maintaining integrity and required handling conditions
  • Follow established delivery routes and schedules, accommodating will-call requests and special pickups as needed
  • Maintain specimen and material integrity at all times, including proper handling, packaging, and temperature-controlled transport
  • Adhere to all scanning, documentation, and tracking requirements, including those related to sensitive or regulated materials
  • Operate company vehicles safely and in compliance with company guidelines; perform routine vehicle checks and maintain cleanliness
  • Maintain and properly use company equipment, including scanners, phones, and vehicles; promptly report any issues or deficiencies
  • Participate in required training and meetings; ensure timely completion of all assigned training
  • Demonstrate reliability through consistent attendance, punctuality, and adherence to operational expectations



Qualifications:

Required WorkExperience:



  • Valid Driver's license with a minimum of 1 year driving experience.


Preferred Work Experience:



  • 1 year of experience in customer service, logistics, or delivery related job strongly preferred.


Physical and Mental Requirements:



  • Position requires travel
  • Extensive Use of phone and handheld device (PC)
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, and drive for extended periods of time.
  • Fine dexterity with hands/steadiness
  • Able to lift up to 25 pounds; may occasionally need to lift 40 pounds, carrying up to 15 pounds for several minutes at a time.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to maintain balance and spatial awareness in a warehouse or delivery environment.
  • Visual acuity required for attention to detail, including working in a warehouse or delivery environment.
  • Ability to perform physical movements including bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting, pushing and pulling.

Work Environment:



  • This role operates in both warehouse and driving environments. The warehouse setting is fast-paced and may involve exposure to varying temperatures, including hot and cold conditions depending on the season. Team members regularly lift, move, and organize inventory, requiring physical stamina and attention to safety protocols. Noise levels may vary due to equipment.
  • In the driving portion of the role, employees spend time on the road making deliveries or pickups. This includes frequent entering and exiting of vehicles, navigating local routes, and working in various weather conditions. Drivers are expected to maintain a clean driving record, follow all traffic laws, and ensure timely, professional service to customers.
