Wilson Elser's Boston office is looking for aGeneral Liability Associate Attorneyto join a team of exceptional professionals in a collaborative environment to represent sophisticated clients confronted with complex legal challenges.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney, seeking to grow professionally and contribute to the success of the firm. The Associate will gain experience with and exposure to practice areas including complex tort & general casualty, employment, construction, professional liability and product liability

Responsibilities



  • Manage matters at all states of litigation
  • Represent clients in a wide range of defense litigation
  • Work closely with other attorneys and Partners on litigation matters
  • Opportunities to handle court appearances and conduct depositions
  • Communicate with clients, including providing regular reports updating clients on the status of their cases and providing recommendations regarding litigation and case resolution strategy


Qualifications



  • JD from an accredited law school
  • Admitted to practice in the state of Massachusetts, including Rhode Island and/or New Hampshire
  • 3+ years experience
  • Experience with litigation involving complex tort & general casualty, employment, construction, professional liability and/or product liability preferred.
  • Superior communication, writing, analytical and research skills.
  • Preparing discovery requests, objections and responses to discovery requests, and motions and briefing relating to discovery disputes.
  • Handling court appearances and depositions a plus.
