The Outlook Technician supplies and supports key refinery accounts relative to their inventory of gases, consumables and safety products. Additionally, this position assists with basic troubleshooting and mechanical repairs as needed.

This position focuses on nurturing existing refinery partnerships throughout an assigned territory. Your contributions will include the following tasks and other collaborative tasks as assigned, such as safely and efficiently operating a commercial motor vehicle and delivering the atmospheric, flammable, industrial gases and hard-good products to customers by performing the following:

  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections

  • Load and unload the truck daily with gas cylinders & supplies

  • Nurture courteous & professional relationships with customers

  • Support deliveries in a timely manner

  • Safely secure and unsecure cylinders

  • Complete deliveries on customer property sites using a hand cart; we emphasize the physically active and hands-on nature of this position.

  • Drivers will frequently move in and out of their vehicle

  • Will be counting/coordinating inventory and supplying refinery partners; supporting approximately 12 locations daily.

________________________ Are you a MATCH? Required Qualifications:
  • Valid Class A CDL with HAZMAT & Airbrake endorsements

  • Maintain appropriate driver's license, medical card & endorsements

  • No more than two (2) traffic convictions: OR two (2) at-fault accident in the last 3 years; or no more than a combination of one (1) traffic conviction and one (1) at-fault accident in the last 3 years

  • No driving while under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance within the last seven (7) years

  • Must be able to work in a drug-free environment

  • Be able to regularly lift 75 lbs. and move more than 125 lbs. with the aid of material handling equipment

  • Must have 1 year of CDL driving experience in the last 5 years or be able able to provide proof of a certificate of completion from trucking school completed in the last 12 months.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in product distribution or inventory management.

  • Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

  • Self-starter; self-motivated; operates with a sense of urgency; ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines.

  • Demonstrated planning skills and outstanding personal relationship skills.

  • Demonstrates a clear and effective speaking manner for the purpose of explaining information to customers and employees.

  • Strong problem-solver, with a high level of attention to detail.

  • Comfortable interacting with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds within Airgas and outside the Company.

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Forklift experience

  • Experience with welding and safety products or related industrial products preferred.
