We're hiring a Sales Intern to join County Materials at our Roberts, WI, location.

Job Summary:

As a Sales Intern, you will support the sales team while gaining hands-on experience in sales operations, customer relationship management (CRM), lead generation, and business development. You will assist with managing customer and prospect activity, conducting market and account research, and contributing to initiatives that enhance the customer experience and drive revenue growth.

This paid internship is ideal for a motivated, relationship-oriented individual eager to learn how a high-performing sales organization operates, including exposure to prospecting, quoting, follow-up, and sales reporting.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Support day-to-day sales account management activities, including customer follow-ups, scheduling, and meeting preparation
  • Maintain accurate CRM data (Salesforce or similar tools) including contacts, opportunities, and activity tracking
  • Assist with lead generation and prospecting by researching target accounts, industries, and decision-makers
  • Prepare sales materials such as presentations, product information, emails, and follow-up templates
  • Support sales quoting and order processes, coordinating with internal teams (Operations, Customer Service, Marketing)
  • Track and report on sales metrics and pipeline activity (calls, meetings, proposals, wins/losses)
  • Participate in customer meetings, job site visits, or ride-alongs to learn consultative selling and relationship building
  • Complete a capstone internship project (e.g., CRM optimization, market analysis, competitor research, or sales playbook development)
  • Perform additional administrative and support duties as needed


Experience & Qualifications: (Required or Preferred)


  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Supply Chain, or related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with strong time management and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Comfortable learning CRM systems and sales tools
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally
  • Prior experience in sales, customer service, retail, or campus leadership roles
  • Familiarity with CRM software (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.)
  • Ability to analyze data and identify trends


Work Environment:


  • Primarily office-based with occasional exposure to plant or operational environments
  • Potential exposure to noise, equipment, weather conditions, or customer-facing environments
  • Minimal travel (no overnight travel required)
  • Standard schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
