Manufacturing Engineering Intern

To assist in supporting manufacturing processes, improving production efficiency, and contributing to the development and implementation of manufacturing methods in accordance with Pride's procedures and protocols

*Assist engineers with improving and supporting manufacturing processes, assembly methods, and production workflows

*Assist with troubleshooting production issues and implementing corrective actions to improve quality and efficiency

*Support prototype builds, pilot runs, and transition of new products into production

*Assist in developing and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs) and work instructions

*Assist with process documentation, time studies, and workflow optimization initiatives

*Support continuous improvement activities including Lean Manufacturing initiatives

*Assist with fixture design, tooling improvements, and basic manufacturing support equipment

*Participate in root cause analysis and corrective/preventative action processes

*Assist with component inspection, testing, and validation activities as required

*Ensure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents, incidents, or injuries are promptly reported to management

*Focus on continuous improvement, and consistently demonstrate good business judgment

*Work effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectations

*Pride retains the discretion to modify duties and/or assign other duties as necessary

*Must be a creative team player, friendly, professional, detail-oriented and honest

Must have the ability to:

Must have:

*Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

*Basic mathematical and reading skills

*No experience required

*Pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in an Engineering related field

*Pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering Technology preferred

Prospective interns must:

*Be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now, or in the future

*Be at least in the equivalency of successfully completing Sophomore year of college before starting the internship

*Provide approval documents from their college or university to receive college credit preferred

*Related project or internship experience in manufacturing, production processes, or process improvement preferred

*Exposure to Lean Manufacturing principles such as 5S, Kaizen, or continuous improvement initiatives preferred

*Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, assembly methods, and production workflows preferred

*Familiarity with ERP or Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) preferred

*Ability to lift/push/pull 40 lbs. preferred

*Ability to provide examples of process improvement, workflow optimization, or manufacturing-related projects preferred

*Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions preferred

*Current or previous successful internship experience with Pride Mobility Products Corporation preferred
