Job Summary:



Responsible for leveraging AI models, data analytics tools, and financial reporting platforms to analyze financial data across the organization's retail operations, mission department, and grant programs. This role supports data-driven decision-making by building dashboards, automating financial reports, and uncovering actionable insights that help leadership optimize revenue, control costs, and measure mission impact.





Essential Functions:



* Collect, clean, and organize financial data from retail store operations, mission programs, and grant funding sources to prepare datasets for analysis

* Build and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI and Excel to visualize key financial metrics such as revenue trends, cost allocations, and grant expenditures

* Apply AI and machine learning models using Python to identify patterns, forecast financial performance, and detect anomalies in retail sales and operational data

* Analyze grant financial data to track spending against budgets, ensure compliance with funding requirements, and support grant reporting obligations

* Develop automated financial reporting workflows to reduce manual effort and improve the accuracy and timeliness of recurring reports

* Collaborate with the Finance, Retail Operations, and Mission departments to understand data needs and translate business questions into analytical solutions

* Perform comparative analysis across retail locations and mission programs to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and areas for revenue growth

* Research and recommend emerging AI and analytics tools and techniques that can enhance the organization's financial data capabilities

* Present findings and data-driven recommendations to leadership through clear visualizations, written summaries, and verbal presentations

* Support ad hoc financial analysis projects and other duties as assigned








Job Requirements and Qualifications:



* Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Data Science, Computer Science, Accounting, Business Analytics, or a related field



  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including advanced functions, pivot tables, and data modeling


* Working knowledge of Python for data analysis and automation (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, or similar libraries)

* Experience with or willingness to learn Power BI or similar data visualization platforms

* Foundational understanding of AI and machine learning concepts and their application to financial data

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and data accuracy

* Ability to communicate complex data findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

* Familiarity with nonprofit financial structures, grant accounting, or retail operations is a plus

* Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a collaborative environment




Working Environment Conditions/Requirements:



* Must be able to sit for extended periods of time while working at a computer

* The ability to bend, reach, and grasp throughout the work day

* Must be able to work flexible hours as required to support project deadlines and reporting cycles

* Occasional travel to retail locations or mission program sites may be required for data gathering
