Job Details Christiana Careis searching for a Palliative Care Physicianto join its talented Supportive and Palliative Care team working in ChristianaCare's Newark and Wilmington hospitals in North Delaware. (30 - 45 minutes south of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania). Our interdisciplinary team includes physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurse navigators, chaplains, and dedicated social workers. Ideal candidates will have a primary interest in doing inpatient palliative care consults and follow-up care, collaborating with specialists and teaching learners. Interested candidates must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, be an excellent team player and educator, and committed to continuous learning and personal growth. This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week, with occasional on-call and weekend coverage. POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:
  • 36 patient facing hours and 4 hours admin time each week
  • Shift 8:30am-4:30pm
  • Inpatient volume approximately 4-5 patients per day
  • Approximately 4-5 weeks of call per year. One week at a time.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution
  • Completion of residency training in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or a related applicable specialty
  • Subspecialty fellowship training in Hospice and Palliative Medicine (HPM) from an ACGME-accredited program - required
  • Board certification or board eligibility in Hospice and Palliative Medicine (ABMS or AOA)

Annual Compensation Range $237,271.00 - $296,074.00 The above compensation range represents ChristianaCare's good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting for full-time hours in the respective specialty. The actual compensation within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation the fair market value for physician services in the relevant specialty and the candidate's relevant experience, education, training, credentials, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements. The compensation range listed may encompass various forms of applicable compensation for this position, including, but not limited to, productivity incentives, value-based incentives and other ancillary forms of compensation dependent upon operational factors such as hours worked, call coverage and other factors. ChristianaCare will offer compensation at an appropriate point within the above range or, less frequently, may offer a level of compensation outside the listed range as warranted by the circumstances.
