Element has an opportunity for a Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our rapidly expanding team.

Salary: $24- $32/hr DOE



Responsibilities

    Perform general duties in accordance with Element's internal procedures, quality as well as Health and Safety system
  • Following all written procedures
  • Interpretation of internal and client requirements
  • Apply an array of testing techniques in a rational and practical style to help examine issues and build solutions
  • Operating testing equipment
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of test standards, product test procedures, and instrumentation.
  • Application of instrumentation and the setting up of complex data capture equipment
  • Report writing, data interpretation and analysis
  • Perform other duties to fulfil the demands of the laboratory
  • Maintain client confidentiality at all times


Skills / Qualifications

  • Mechanical Engineering Degree or experience working within a mechanical testing environment preferred
  • Hands-on job
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Strong technical knowledge
  • Strong computer skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to analyze and compile testing data from the tests performed
  • Self-motivated with the ability to multitask, organize and work under the pressure of a busy commercial test laboratory
  • Working knowledge of laboratory safety
  • In-depth understanding of testing concepts
