EPI Power is hiring an Administrative Assistant III to provide support to members of the EPI leadership team. The Administrative Assistant III plays a crucial role in keeping the business unit organized and running smoothly. This role will work out of The Weitz Company office in downtown Des Moines Monday - Friday during standard business hours. - Provide excellent administrative support to the Vice President, Operations Director, and overall business unit
- Accurately prepare and review reports, memos, and routine correspondence on behalf of the business including items that are confidential in nature
- Prepare notes and presentations for staff meetings
- Input data and update documents and contracts
- Maintain accurate records, business licenses, organizational charts, manpower staffing charts, and owner contract files
- Coordinate events, meetings, and travel arrangements for team members
- Communication information in a professional and timely manner
- Support day-to-day efforts of the workforce development team in supporting field operations with a highly skilled craft employee
- Develop and deliver structured training programs for electricians, apprentices, foremen, and general foremen
- Partner with field leadership to identify skill gaps and training needs
- Support foremen and general foremen in improving crew performance
- Coordinate planning and logistics for craft initiatives; such as hands-on skill assessments, technical training, and leadership development
- Accurately capture EPI workforce data to evaluate effectiveness of programming and to analyze technical skill gaps for both new hires and existing employees in alignment with construction industry workforce trends
- Maintain accurate records of completed compliance and development certificates
- Collaborate with recruitment team to aid craft pipeline through partnerships and job fairs
What We're Looking For: Experience:
- 4+ years of experience in workforce development, training, or electrical construction-related position required
- Familiarity with electrical construction or skilled trades experience is highly desired
- Associate's degree in a related field such as workforce development, human resources, education/learning, or electrical construction management is required - an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

Technology:
- Proficient in basic computer software including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to learn specific job-related software upon hire
Additional Requirements
- Ability to travel to construction project sites, partnership facilities, or events
- Some evening or weekend availability will be required for various events
- Being bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
