In partnership with the University of Iowa, Iowa StateUniversityand the Western Iowa Regents Resource Center (WIRRC), we are seeking a Digital Marketing Student Worker to join our team!
We are looking for a dedicated and creative student worker to join our Western Iowa Regents Resource Center (WIRRC) team. The successful candidate will manage our social media presence and drive engagement through effective content creation and digital marketing strategies. Work assignments will be providedvirtually byWIRRC, with workspace, mentoring and support provided by Iowa State Online.
- Write and edit content, including online and printed materials.
- Create and manage social media accounts.
- Develop and execute a social media posting schedule.
- Create/repurpose and distribute engaging content for variousdigital platforms, including website/blog posts, infographics, videos, and newsletters, that align with the WIRRC mission, values, and marketing/communications objectives toshowcasethe WIRRC's achievements, programs, and events.
- Monitor and manage social media metrics tooptimizestrategy effectiveness.
- Create and manage YouTube paid advertising campaigns.
- Manage B2B partnerships and liaise for social media questions and comments.
- Create and manage a shared office email.
- Other duties as assigned, including, but not limited to, customer service, implementation of promotional events and general office assignments.
- Current Iowa State University undergraduate student registered for at least one credit hour.
- Basic understanding of introductory marketing and communications principles (this could be obtained through coursework or class projects).
- Familiarity with digital marketing trends and best practices.
- Strong communicationskills, both written and verbal.
- Creative mindset with the ability to generate engaging content.
- Basic understanding and experience with social media (such as Facebook, Instagram, X, etc.).
- Experience using Facebook Meta Suite preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience using graphic design software (such asCanva, Adobe Illustrator, or similar).
- Familiarity and comfortability using virtual meeting platforms (such as Zoom,WebEx, Teams, etc.)
- Studentmust use their own laptop computer.
