Responsibilities

We currently have a great opportunity available for a Sr. Financial Analyst. The Senior Financial Analyst will report directly to the Senior Manager of Finance. This position will prepare the financial planning and analysis of the Hematology Recurring Revenue and Urinalysis business units. This role requires a deep understanding of financial statements to deliver accurate reporting and concise variance explanations for each reporting period. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Prepare the annual budgets and monthly forecasts of the P&L for Hematology Recurring Revenue and Urinalysis business units
2. Prepare timely and accurate financial reporting and analytics for specific product lines, customer agreements, ROI initiatives and other reports on a periodic and ad hoc basis
3. Analyze financial results versus forecast, budget and prior year identifying key variances and providing timely analysis with commentary to FP&A team
4. Maintains, and seeks to improve, current forecasting models for Hematology Recurring Revenue and Urinalysis and can create new models as required
5. Develop a deep understanding of Sysmex's business model and product offerings to provide insightful/ actionable KPIs to measure the business performance
6. Ability to compile, evaluate, and transform large data sets from various systems and databases for use in financial and business analysis
7. Assist Finance and other departments to assess financial business case for ROI initiatives, business development activities, process and efficiency improvement and other key projects as identified by the Senior Finance Manager
8. Build and maintain strong business partnerships through effective networking
9. Assist the Senior Finance Manager with special projects and duties as assigned

Percentage of Travel: 5%



Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or related field required. 5+ years of experience in Financial Analysis, Accounting or Business-related field.

  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel (including sumifs, vlookup, pivot tables, etc)
  • SAP, Oracle Planning, Power BI experience desired
  • Working knowledge of MS PowerPoint
  • Comfortable and skilled in data mining and predictive modeling
  • Strong problem seeking skills and resolution-seeking persistence
  • Financial Analysis and Decision Support
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong attention to details and accuracy, highly organized, and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work well on large and small cross-functional teams

The salary range for this role is $78,540 to $123,420. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The total compensation package for this position also includes a choice of health care plan (medical, vision, and dental insurance), an annual incentive bonus, paid time off, parental leave, bereavement leave and a 401(K) for all eligible employees.
