At Worley, we are a global professional services company of energy, chemicals and resources experts. We partner with customers to deliver projects and create value over the life of their assets. We're bridging two worlds, moving towards more sustainable energy sources, while helping to provide the energy, chemicals and resources needed now.

Play an integral role in the successful execution of a major pipeline project supporting critical infrastructure development in a remote region of Alaska. This position supports early civil construction activities and helps ensure that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

This is an opportunity to work on a high-profile project within a collaborative and technically driven environment where quality, safety, and operational excellence are essential to project success. The role operates on a rotational schedule in a remote field environment and requires a strong commitment to teamwork, adaptability, and field-based execution.

Purpose of the role

You will be responsible for supporting and executing quality control inspection activities associated with civil early works construction for a large-scale pipeline development project. The role focuses on ensuring construction activities comply with approved procedures, engineering drawings, project specifications, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.

You will work closely with construction, engineering, subcontractors, and project leadership teams to identify quality risks early, verify compliance in the field, and contribute to the successful delivery of project milestones in a challenging remote environment.

This role requires strong technical knowledge of civil construction practices, excellent documentation and reporting skills, and the ability to make sound decisions while working with a high degree of independence in the field.

Core Responsibilities

  • Perform quality control inspections for civil early works activities including earthworks, grading, excavation, trenching, access roads, drainage systems, concrete works, foundations, and related infrastructure.
  • Verify construction activities are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, inspection and test plans (ITPs), procedures, and applicable codes and standards.
  • Monitor contractor and subcontractor performance to ensure compliance with project quality requirements and client expectations.
  • Conduct field surveillance, inspections, and quality audits across active work fronts in remote construction areas.
  • Review and maintain inspection documentation, test reports, turnover packages, and quality records to support project traceability and compliance.
  • Coordinate with construction supervisors, engineers, survey teams, and quality personnel to resolve non-conformances and technical issues in a timely and practical manner.
  • Participate in daily coordination meetings, pre-task planning discussions, and quality-related reviews with project stakeholders.
  • Support the identification, documentation, and resolution of deficiencies, punch list items, and corrective actions.
  • Assist with implementation and continuous improvement of project quality systems, processes, and reporting tools.
  • Ensure inspection activities align with project schedules while maintaining a strong focus on safety and workmanship standards.
  • Promote a culture of quality, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the project team.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to less experienced personnel when required.
  • Maintain strong awareness of environmental considerations and regulatory compliance requirements associated with remote pipeline construction activities in Alaska.
