Position Summary
Hiring a Senior Software Engineer to build applications that support digital health and clinical research and practice. A successful candidate will be prepared to guide software projects from definition and specification through launch, continued iteration, and maintenance. You will serve as a technical subject matter expert, assisting leadership in the development of standard operating protocols, guiding software architecture, and creating a high-performance engineering culture. You will help maintain a culture of documentation, mentor junior engineers, and work as part of a team on projects that range from MVPs to mature applications

b. Subject matter (domain) expertise in operational area(s) supported (i.e., scheduling, patient registration, billing, etc.)

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree An associate's degree with an additional 2 years of related experience or a high school diploma/GED with an additional 4 years of related experience may substitute for a Bachelor's Degree.
Experience
Required
1. 3 years of experience directly involved in Epic application support performing builds in the targeted application(s). Demonstrated experience performing moderately complex builds.
2. Beyond the requisite Epic experience, direct system/application support experience involving operational analysis will be credited.
3. In addition, experience:
4. Presenting to or advising users, clients (internal or external), etc. on technical issues. 5. Training systems end-users directly or in providing substantive input to training curriculum or materials
Preferred
1. 5 years of experience directly involved in Epic application support performing builds in the targeted application(s). Demonstrated experience performing moderately complex builds.
2. Experience working directly in the specific domain (operational area) being supported: hospital revenue cycle, patient scheduling, finance/billing, etc. demonstrating an understanding of the unique challenges of the groups supported.
3. Experience as a super-user of an Electronic Health Records systems generally, if not Epic specifically

The posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.

Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
