Kalman & Company Inc. is seeking a full-time Warehouse Specialist to support warehouse operations on a government client site located in Williamsburg, VA. This role is responsible for inventory control, material storage, order fulfillment, and logistics coordination. It requires an active Secret clearance. Warehouse Specialists ensure that materials are accurately received, stored, and distributed in support of production, training, and operational needs. Applicants must be able to work independently and as part of a team, follow all safety and conduct rules, and comply with company policies.

II. Specific Duties



  • Maintain accurate inventory records using manual logs or electronic systems.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Ensure proper stock rotation and storage practices to prevent material degradation.
  • Receive incoming shipments, verify contents, and inspect for damage or discrepancies.
  • Prepare and package outgoing shipments in accordance with customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Generate and maintain shipping and receiving documentation.
  • Pick, stage, and deliver materials to production, training, or other departments.
  • Coordinate with team leads and supervisors to ensure timely material availability.
  • Support kitting operations by assembling and verifying kit contents.
  • Apply accurate labels to materials, bins, and shipments.
  • Ensure all materials are properly identified and traceable.
  • Maintain documentation for audits and compliance reviews.
  • Perform duties of Material Handling Laborers as needed, including loading, unloading, and transporting materials.
  • Support DRMO (Defense Reutilization and Marketing Office) processes by preparing excess or obsolete materials for disposal.
  • Assist with FTO (For Training Only) logistics, including setup and teardown of training environments.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and wear required PPE.
  • Ensure warehouse operations comply with SOPs, WIs, and regulatory standards.
  • Report safety incidents, equipment malfunctions, or process deviations promptly.



III. Minimum Required Education / Qualifications

Candidates MUST:



  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Have a High School diploma or GED.
  • Be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Hold a current Secret Security Clearance with 6-month re-verification.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Be able to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Be able to work on their feet for up to 8 hours a day in a non-climate-controlled environment.
  • Be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.



IV. Preferred Education / Qualifications



  • Experience in warehouse, logistics, or inventory operations.
  • Familiarity with inventory systems and labeling procedures.
  • Certification or experience operating forklifts or other MHE.
  • Background in government or defense-related logistics support.
